A favorite Poet of mine has always been Ms. Dorothy Parker. Her works were usually short and dark but yet used words in a beautiful way. She had a way of making death sound like a sweet dream, and loneliness sound like an afternoon stroll. My favorite Poem is Resumé.
below is a link to a biography of her, and a collection of her work.

  1. Good choice. I love Dorothy Parker. I believe she's the one who said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, come sit next to me."

  2. I just read "Resume" and some other Parker poems in my American Lit class. So far I like her a lot."You might as well live." good stuff. We also read a short story of her's about forgotten drunken conversations. It's called "You Were Perfectly Fine." I love the way it's written and it's fun and easy to read!
