A favorite Poet of mine has always been Ms. Dorothy Parker. Her works were usually short and dark but yet used words in a beautiful way. She had a way of making death sound like a sweet dream, and loneliness sound like an afternoon stroll. My favorite Poem is Resumé.

Good choice. I love Dorothy Parker. I believe she's the one who said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, come sit next to me."

ReplyDeleteI just read "Resume" and some other Parker poems in my American Lit class. So far I like her a lot."You might as well live." good stuff. We also read a short story of her's about forgotten drunken conversations. It's called "You Were Perfectly Fine." I love the way it's written and it's fun and easy to read!
